Year of New Beer: War Mullet, Three Floyds Brewing (IN)

The nose starts out dank, herbal, and slightly catty. With warmth, grapefruit and pineapple battle an alcohol punch. On the tongue, the hops provide a grassy kick before some honey sweetness kicks in, as the fruits become juicy, almost sticky. Ultimately, the bitterness wins out, coating the mouth with resinous hop oils. Not the best 3F IPA I've had, but still better than a lot of others. And a good choice for National IPA Day! Another great find at The Keg in Clarksville
