Year of New Beer: Cuvée des Jacobins Rouge, Brouwerij Bockor (Belgium)

Pungent tart cherries, earthy damp malt, and traces of oak on the nose. On the tongue is a lip-puckering sourness that dries the mouth with acidic red wine vinegar, green apple peel, and a more intense oak note. My experience with the Flanders Red style is limited, but I can't imagine many being better than this one
