Year of New Beer: Tour de Fall, New Belgium Brewing (CO)

An initial kick of grapefruit zest is backed up by some evergreen and a light, cracker malt on the nose. On the tongue the hop bitterness is crisp and takes on a slightly soapy note. A bit more of a caramel malt steps up to provide a balancing sweetness as the hops trend toward grassy and dry on the finish. This is an honest, straightforward pale ale that would be a regular drinker if only it were available in KY!
