Year of New Beer: Frucht Passion Fruit, The Bruery (CA)

Written By: Dion on 06/13/2016

As expected,a generous punch of passion fruit hits the nose, augmented by peach skin and lemon zest. Hints of hay and field grass with warmth. The taste buds are slammed with an intense, puckering tartness that puts the passion fruit on full display. Lemon juice adds to the acidic kick, tempered ever so slightly by a touch of oak and dry grasses. Whereas some sour beers are quick to fatigue the palate, this is incredibly drinkable. Excellent beer.
