Year of New Beer: Roll Out The Barrel, 3 Sheeps Brewing (WI)

Alcohol soaked pears sit atop bubblegum and Belgian yeast, with cursory notes of vanilla, oak, and caramel. On the tongue, pears and cooked apples blend nicely with a touch of buttered toffee (not in a diacetyl way) before giving way to a bold barrel influence. Oak, vanilla, and bourbon take center stage on the finish. Probably a little hot or boozy to some, but I really like the way this works with the Belgian subtleties.
