Year of New Beer: Margarita Gose, Westbrook Brewing (SC)

Intense lime with hints of lemon, a nice briny kick, and an undercurrent of oaked tequila. Pretty much nails a margarita, even if not as sweet. On the tongue, the citrus is sharp, with the lime biting in its acidity. The salt is more subdued than in the standard Gose, but this is no less stripping to the taste buds. Slightly grassy with a certain woodiness from the barrels, and a persistent but subtle tequila note hanging on through the finish. So good.
