Year of New Beer: Cherry Raspberry Pop!, Grimm Artisanal Ales (NY)

Bright cherries on the nose with additional hints of sour citrus peel. The vanilla is very subtle, almost like a yogurt. On the tongue, the tart fruits take center stage, approaching just a medium level of sour. The vanilla is perhaps even less noticeable here than in the aroma, but still combines nicely with the lactose to give the beer a smooth, creamy feel. Beautiful in the glass, and no less impressive once it hits the taste buds.
