Year of New Beer: Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti, Great Divide Brewing (CO)

Written By: Dion on 01/12/2017

Cocoa powder, coffee bean, and roasted malts dominate the nose, impressive for a nearly three year old bottle. On the tongue, the chocolate is rich and slightly bitter, with hints of dark fruit and just a touch of soy sauce adding to the coffee bean. The oak influence is subtle, coming across as a mild smoke. Not quite sure how I've managed to miss this Yeti variant over the years, but I'm glad to have finally checked it off the list. Excellent brew.
