Year of New Beer: Unholy Trippel, Coppertail Brewing (FL)

Apple and grape lead the way on a nose that also includes a solid Belgian yeast note as well as a light bubblegum and spice. On the tongue, the fruits get slightly more tropical, kicking in a bit of a pithy note that serves to give this a Belgian IPA feel. Mildly sweet, bready malts combine with light alcohol and hints of coriander to build toward a moderately dry finish. Solid beer from an outstanding Florida brewery.
