Year of New Beer: Mexican Fake, Longtooth Brewing (Lexington/Wilmington)

Huge chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon on the nose. On the tongue, the chocolate is rich and silky smooth, sweet on the taste buds before giving in to a building habañero heat. Almost a Devil's food brownie batter and roasty malts lead to a sneaky alcohol finish. This is a homebrew that could easily pass for production level. Nicely done, Steve. And this label...have you received a cease and desist letter yet? Happy for your family on your move, but disappointed that Lexington has lost such a talented brewer.
