Year of New Beer: Apricot Funk, Prairie Artisan Ales (OK)

Lots of tart fruits on the nose, with apricot (obviously) being joined by unripened peach and grapefruit rind. The musty, yeasty funk that Prairie does so well becomes more prevalent with warmth. On the tongue, a crisp, acidic bite leads the way as the apricot and hints of lemon are intertwined with a sour apple and Sweetart candy. Dusty hay and a light breadiness provide a balance to the moderately puckering finish. Very nice.
