Year of New Beer: Summertrip, Braxton Brewing Co (KY)

Enjoyed on the grounds of the late 1700s stone house that my brother-in-law is rebuilding here in Scott Co. Tartness is evident in the nose as lemon, unripened berries, and a bit of sour apple are all layered over a dry, dusty wheat. On the tongue is a sharply acidic bite with a hint of tropical fruit sweetness that quickly falls off, allowing the sour punch to kick in once again, along with a slightly funky wheat note. Has a very Sweetart candy type of feel. Not 100% sure I would have identified this as passion fruit, but regardless, it's quite tasty on a warm summer evening.
