Year of New Beer: Terrestrial Paradise, Burial Beer Co (Asheville)

The nose is initially greeted by grapefruit, mango, and hints of lemon. With warmth, a very subtle but persistent candied pineapple is uncovered beneath the funky Brett and floral grasses. On the tongue, lemon and grapefruit zest are sharp in their bitterness, overpowering the faint pineapple sweetness and toasted cracker malt. Dry field grass seems to extract practically all of the moisture from the mouth. Funky, citrusy, and delicious.
