A blast of candied orange hits the nose, backed by traces of pine, caramel, and bread crust. On the tongue, a moderate level of bitterness arrives in the form of orange and grapefruit pith. The toasted bread grains really begin to pull forward in the mid-palate, with the caramel sweetness adding complexity. Dry grasses and a touch of evergreen provide a bitter, slightly spicy bite on the finish. This isn't groundbreaking, but it is a solid, easy-drinking brew.
