Year of New Beer: Warmer Winter Winter Warmer, Cigar City Brewing (Tampa)

After languishing in my fridge for just shy of two years, this sounded appealing in the midst of this weather. The nose is much as I expected...sweet plums and figs with just a trace of spiced citrus and toasted bread. On the tongue is a rich caramel and dark fruit layer that takes the edge off the toasted malt and hints of cured tobacco that build toward the middle. Finishes sticky sweet with a touch of earthy bitterness and warming alcohol. I've most certainly missed the desired timeframe on this beer for optimal enjoyment, but it's still a pretty decent brew.
