Year of New Beer: RC1, Mark Rubenstein (Louisville)

When the invite is extended by one of Louisville's most talented brewers, you don't ask questions, you just go. Floral hops with hints of mango, orange, and melon on the nose. On the tongue, the hop bitterness is initially restrained, allowing the fruits to present with a soft sweetness, somewhat akin to orange marmalade. Honey comes out a bit in the flavor as well, taming the slightly grassy hop bite that begins to build with warmth. Sticky and a touch resinous on the finish. Excellent brew. Definitely a good candidate for release in the future.
