Year of New Beer: Jaune, Westbrook Brewing Co (SC)

Caramel, grape, and alcohol-infused oak lead the way on the nose. Cooked apple and freshly baked bread develop with warmth. On the tongue, sweet fruit tones are joined by a mild Belgian yeast note. Apples, raisins, and grapes are all present, as is a building alcohol warmth. Tons of oak, caramel, and butterscotch on the finish. Drinks bigger than its 8%. Not the best thing I've had from Westbrook, but worth the buy if you see it.
