Year of New Beer: Huge Arker, Anderson Valley Brewing (CA)

A robust nose is filled with dark chocolate, coffee bean, toasted bread, charred wood, and bourbon. On the tongue the chocolate is mildly bitter, tamed by traces of caramel and vanilla. Bourbon soaked oak builds in its intensity as the glass warms, given depth by the hints of smoky, dark fruits and earthy bitterness. This is a solid barrel aged stout. I'd like to see what some time in the cellar would do to it.
