Year of New Beer: Brett C. Ale, Prairie Artisan Ales (OK)

The nose is loaded with barnyard funk--musty hay, dry earth, and even a bit of horseblanket. Undertones of citrus and seawater as well. On the tongue, the citrus bitterness leads early before turning slightly herbal and spicy. The salt provides a subtle but nice element, with the Brett funk becoming more prevalent with warmth. Crisp, peppery, and dry on the finish. Very enjoyable.
