12 (New) Beers of Christmas - 8 Maids-a-Milking, The Bruery (CA)

On the 8th day, I had no choice but to drink this, right? The nose is a little less full than some of the Bruery beers I've had in the past. Rich, creamy milk chocolate, roasted nuts, and just a bit of tart fruits. On the tongue is more of the same, only the tartness becomes more prevalent, with a sour cherry really sneaking in. It seems to work pretty well with the chocolate sweetness, but it's difficult to tell if this was the intended flavor profile or not. Given the difficulties they've had at their facility, my money is on this beer being slightly infected. Tasty enough right now, but I don't see how this beer holds up for another 4 years to complete the set of 12.
