The problem with trying a beer I've never had before every single day (for going on two years now), is that honestly, a lot of them taste the same, with little to differentiate one brewery from another. But every now and then, you stumble on a special one. You usually get a clue from the aroma. This one is luscious, deep-roasted coffee bean with layers of chocolate and creamy vanilla. On the tongue, the depth is phenomenal, with hints of caramel and shortbread demanding attention as the roasted malts build to moderately dry, bitter finish. This is one outstanding brew. I'm almost sad I didn't share it with another beer nerd. Almost...
