Year of New Beer: La Maison, Taxman Brewing (IN)

The nose is a mixture of bready yeast, citrus peel, and banana. The tongue features more of the same, as a slightly sweet, almost hefeweizen-like banana seems to overpower an unexpected hop bite. Light mineral water and peppery spice, but ultimately this presents less a saison and more hefe. Not a bad beer, just seems a little off base.
