Year of New Beer: Shipwrecked Double IPA, Mission Brewery (CA)

Had the regular IPA a few weeks back, thought I'd give the double a try. Aromas of candied tropical fruits, sweet malts, and surprisingly subdued hops. Bitterness is a little more prevalent in the taste department, as a pine resin sits upon a sturdy orange peel. In the end, the scale tips a little toward the alcohol burn. Good beer, but could use a little more balance.
