Pungent grapefruit and candied pineapple on the nose, with traces of boxwood and herb with warmth. On the tongue the bitterness is citrus loaded on the front, pithy and slightly spicy. Mid-palate sees a light caramel malt and sticky fruit juices. The hop bite builds toward the finish with a dank, resinous bitterness grabbing hold and refusing to let go. This is what a Double IPA is supposed to be. Stellar.
