Year of New Beer: Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout, Sweetwater Brewing (GA)

Roasted coffee bean, bittersweet chocolate, and traces of dark fruits on the nose, all of which transition pretty well to the tongue. Additional notes of smoke and earthy hops against a moderate bourbon kick. A little thin on the body but overall pretty solid. Nice job by Galvin's with the beer list of late...Bourbon County Stout last week... this, Snake Eyes, and Blue Stallion Hefeweizen (among others) tonight...well done.
