Mild chocolate, coffee, and dark fruits in the aroma. On the tongue, a milky sweetness provides a nice counterbalance to the cocoa bitterness. This doesn't have the depth of the top level stouts, but it is a nice easy drinking English take on the style. Probably the best Magic Hat beer I've had.
