Year of New Beer: Old Foghorn, Anchor Brewing Co. (CA)

Another readily available beer that I have passed over many times. Nose is filled with honey, burnt sugar, caramel, and figs. On the tongue a little alcohol heat initially, but it's quickly overcome by the sweetness. Malty, with a cooked apple edge; sweet pipe tobacco as it warms. Very good.
