
Year of New Beer: Mack in Black, Holy Mackerel Brewing (FL)

Dark chocolate and roasty malts make up the bulk of the nose; on the tongue a berry tartness is brought on by the pomegranate used in the process. A slight smoke sneaks in on the finish. Really unusual beer that seems to be lost in no-man's land in regard to style. Not bad, but does nothing to wow me.
