Year of New Beer: Friendship Brew, Green Flash Brewing (CA)

Much darker than expected, with a nose filled with spruce and mild coffee. The roasted coffee represents well on the tongue, as some sweetness comes through, but the finish is all about dry spices. Not bad, not great.
