Year of New Beer: Enjoy By IPA, Stone Brewing (CA)

When I started my quest to try a beer I've never had before every single day this year, I knew I would have some clunkers. I also knew I would have some that remind me why I enjoy searching out the next great one. This is one of those beers. If you don't like hops, don't bother. This beer kicks you in the teeth with hops--pineapple, tangerine,apricot, grapefruit, pine, boxwood...sweet caramel steps in initially before being smacked down by an onslaught of resinous, bitter, hoppy goodness. Sticky, green, dry, boozy...this is a graduate level course in Hoponomics...you cannot enroll if you have not fulfilled your prerequisites...You have been warned.
