Year of New Beer: Smoke, O'Fallon Brewery (MO)

The expected porter aromas of bitter chocolate and roasted coffee beans are there, but the taste is dominated by the smoke. Campfire char and jerky type flavors with modest hints of sweet malt. I'm thinking this one is closer to a rauchbier than a porter, but still a very good beer.
