Year of New Beer: Biere de Garde, Choc Beer Company (OK)

Light apples and raisins on the nose are vaguely similar to some nice Belgian ales, but come up just a tad short. On the tongue, a crisp white grape juice plays against a mild caramel note, with hints of peppery spice and yeast. Not the most complex I've had in this style, but certainly a solid, easy drinking beer.
