Year of New Beer: Black Raven IPA, Olde Hickory Brewery (NC)

Mostly bitter espresso on the nose, with only the faintest of pine hops; things are more complex on the tongue, as the roasted malts hits first, followed by some campfire char midpalate, finishing with a nice grassy hop bitterness, especially as the beer warms. Really good beer.
