Year of New Beer: XXXX IPA, Shipyard Brewing (ME)

Sweet brown sugar and subdued floral hops on the nose; the flavor tends to favor sweetness over hop bitterness, and the alcohol is not masked as well as it could be for the style. Some toasted bread comes out in the end. Overall, a decent beer, but suffering a little identity crisis.
