Year of New Beer: He'Brew Bittersweet Lenny's R.I.P.A., Schmaltz Brewing (NY)

The nose just screams caramel malt. Sweetness all around, with just a hint of the rye and hops in the background. On the tongue, the sugar is evident, along with an almost cinnamon bread feel, with rye spice coming through. Pine laden hops provide a bitter balance. Where last night's Imperial IPA fell short, this one excels. Not as citrusy as I usually like my IPA's, but an outstanding beer regardless.
