Year of New Beer: Shiner Hefeweizen, Spoetzl Brewery (TX)

Lots of lemon zest and orange peel on the nose; the taste is crisp and spicy, with not quite as much banana as some of the more refined Hefes. This one probably won't win any awards, but with a couple of dogs on the grill and Em's cranberry cole slaw, it was the perfect thirst quencher, and one I would drink all day on the beach.
