
Year of New Beer: Nib Smuggler, Funky Buddha Brewery (FL)

Cocoa powder and roasty brown bread malt open the nose. With warmth, the chocolate becomes sweeter with traces of nuts and vanilla. On the tongue is a hint of Hershey syrup backed by a slightly bitter roasted coffee bean. Vanilla sweetness and a touch of campfire char are intermingled. Ultimately, I think this is just a little too sweet for my liking.
