Year of New Beer: Palate Wrecker, Green Flash Brewing (CA)

Intense notes of pine and citrus hit the nose as soon as the cap is popped. As the name implies, the hop resins rip the tongue with bitterness; citrus, grassy, and peppery all at the same time, with just a hint of malt sweetness that lurks in the background, only to be smacked down by the bitterness. As an IPA lover, this is what I crave. Outstanding.
