Year of New Beer: Experimental Rye Pale, West 6th Brewing (Lexington)

Fruit anchors the nose with grapefruit and tangerine leading the way, as a floral note and rye spice develop with warmth. On the tongue, citrus again dominates, providing a slightly pithy bitterness. The rye bite marries well with the lightly sweet caramel malt backbone. Finishes with a crisp, dry bite. Very nicely done.
