Year of New Beer: Double Bean Blonde Ale, Schlafly Tap Room (MO)

Playing tricks on the eyes, this beer is light in color but brings notes of chocolate and coffee to the nose, with only slight hints of grain. On the tongue, coffee bean stands out a bit more than the chocolate, but it still doesn't overpower. The chocolate does add a layer of sweetness, coupled with a light cereal grain. Not bad, but not mind-blowing.
