Year of New Beer: Retro IPA, Evil Twin Brewing (NY)

A leafy green, slightly woody hop note greets the nose, with traces of spice and a light, bready malt. On the tongue the bitterness is moderate, coming off with a bit of an herbal tilt. A sweet grain builds, giving this almost a hoppy lager quality. Very unusual. Not horrible, but I'm glad IPAs have evolved over the last 30 years
