Year of New Beer: Armory XPA, Deschutes Brewery (OR)

An unusual, almost candied melon note leads an aroma that eventually settles down into a bit more traditional citrus and pine, with a floral undercurrent. Transitions nicely to the tongue as the melon husk is carried by a solid toasted bread. The bitterness leans more citrusy with warmth. Very interesting brew, but I liked it.
