Year of New Beer: Barrel Aged Bomb!, Prairie Artisan Ales (OK)

Rich dark chocolate, almost fudge-like in nature, anchors a nose that also boasts sweet caramel, vanilla, and traces of oak. On the tongue, the chocolate is sweet, enveloped in waves of dark fruits, creamy vanilla, and a warming bourbon heat. Cinnamon and spiced oak add to the thick complexity of this beer. The chilies are much less pronounced in this version as opposed to the regular, but I think I prefer it. Excellent.
