Year of New Beer: Tiberius Centurion IPA, Scarlet Lane Brewing (IN)

Grapefruit and orange zest are pungent to the nose, with an undercurrent of honey sweetness and rich, bready malts. The hop bitterness assaults the tongue, starting out harsh, but mellowing to a juicy, dank, herbal presence. Traces of orange marmalade and baked bread add dimension to a slight alcohol sting. Pretty solid beer.
