Year of New Beer: Cantillon Saint Lamvinus, Brasserie Cantillon (Belgium)

So what started out as a simple trip to Costco ends with getting a pour of this gem. Tart grape, cherry, and maybe even a little plum are layered on a dusty oak and slightly funky nose. On the tongue, the grape is a little more prevalent, with an a hint of red wine vinegar providing a bit of pucker. Nicely balanced by the musty, earthy funkiness. Tart and dry on the finish. Excellent.
