Year of New Beer: The 87, Night Shift Brewing (MA)

Ripe pineapple and candied orange anchor a nose that is rich in oily hop aromas and traces of pine resin. On the tongue, carbonation is soft, allowing a sweet, almost dessert-bread malt to serve as a platform for the fruit flavors and hop bitterness. The fruits remain tropical in nature, and enough of a honey sweetness hangs around to prevent the hops from being too harsh. Easy drinking and quite good.
