The 12 (New) Beers of Christmas: Scaldis Noel, Brasserie Dubuisson Freres (Belgium)

Nose is loaded with candied fruits and mild spice, with a touch of rum maybe? On the tongue the sweetness is sticky at first, with the alcohol seemingly well hidden, evaporating almost like cotton candy. As the beer warms, however, a hot, woody alcohol takes the wheel and drives home the fact that this is 12% ABV. Definitely a sipper.
