The 12 (New) Beers of Christmas: Pere Noel, Brouwerij De Ranke (Belgium)

Fairly standard aromas of pear, apple, white grape and some grassy hops. On the tongue is a nice balance between sweetness and unripened fruit tartness. As the beer warms, a peppery spice joins in, but overall, the flavor never quite elevates to the level I was expecting. Good, not great.
