The 12 (New) Beers of Christmas: X Mas Zinnebir, Brasserie de la Senne (Belgium)

Very modest aromas that include pear, apple skin, and leafy green hops. On the tongue, the sweet fruit delicacies found in most Belgians take a bit of a back seat. Instead a woody, peppery spice builds with warmth, while chocolate and smoke are found as well. Faint dark fruit sweetness on the finish. While not quite as malty, I see a lot of similarities between this beer and a black IPA.
