Year of New Beer: Hairy Eyeball Ale, Lagunitas Brewing (CA)

Rich caramel malts, sweet raisins, and muted pine make up the bulk of the nose. On the tongue, the bitterness is only slightly elevated, as brown sugar sweetness continues to dominate. Smooth and creamy with a slight woody tone. My only complaint is the sake like alcohol burn on the finish, as it seems a little out of place in this beer. Cellaring this for a year or so would probably calm this down. Thanks Shanon for another good one!
